Replaced o rings on cam sensors now vdc light on

Just replaced the o rings on, 06 G35 5at, both cam sensors and now I have slip, vdc light and service engine soon light on. I had no lights prior to replacing of the o rings.

Did I miss something? Just wanted to stop the oil leaks.

Dumb question but did you replace them in the right spots, passenger side is the straight one and the driver's side is the angled? I've never heard of someone replacing just the o-rings. How many miles are on your car, the sensors might just need to replaced completely.

Yes as I replaced them one at a time. Car has 125k miles, odd that sensor would go bad the moment I take it out.

It's odd yes, but over 100K it's not If they will fail but When. Get OEM when you replace them and they're a lot cheaper on Amazon than from a Nissan/Infiniti dealer.

OBD2 scan and find out what diagnostic trouble code it's shooting. Could be something simple like forgetting to plug something in.

P0340 comes up, I'm guessing that's the passenger side. I took it out and made sure all was good and connected it back same thing happens... Debating weather to just order both sensors or just the passenger side and leave driver side alone.

That's bank1 which is EDIT:passenger:EDIT side (determined by cylinder 1 from firing order), I would remove the harness and inspect it may just have wiggled something loose or damaged the harness/wiring in some way. Those pins can be bent "somewhat" easily.

Are you sure? I'm looking at FSM and Bank 1 shows the one next to battery, passenger side.

Just wanted to follow up, turns out I bent one of the pins on the passenger side sensor when I initially put it in. Since the car has almost 130k on original sensor I went ahead and put in a new one and all is well.
