First time g35 buyer with questions!!

Hey guys new to this forum and im not sure if this is the right spot but ive been a big fan of g35's for a while and i found a black 2004 coupe with 90k miles on it (donor motor) haven't checked the car out in person yet but im doing so in three days. mechanically he says it needs a new slave cylinder, the throwout bearing wines when its cold, and the passenger valve has a very slow leak. he offered to make a deal with me for 3k and i will have 1k give or take to fix those things. i dont know too much about cars but i have a buddy who does and he says i might as well replace the clutch. 1. ive seen JWT mention alot for the g35 at $775 combo kit. 2. im open to any suggestions. anyways im just looking for a little guidance on whether or not this would be a good deal, if you think 1k will be enough to fix said prices, and if you guys have any tips or opinions let me know. thanks!

No reason to replace the clutch unless it's worn or something is damaged. Replace the operating cylinder, while you have the tranny out to do the throw out bearing inspect the clutch at that time. If it needs a clutch then order one and wait 3 days for it to show up.

JWT is popular, personally I went with a Z1 but they're basically the same. You need to replace the clutch master cylinder along with the operating slave cylinder and the.fluid. don't just do one component.

Check out Z1, you can get their in-house clutch kit (lightweight billet steel flywheel, full faced sprung hub clutch, oem pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bushing), oem clutch master cylinder, oem clutch slave cylinder, stainless steel clutch line, fluid and a NISMO needle pilot bearing (throw away the OEM brass one that comes in the clutch kit) shipped to your door for just under $900. It's a hell of a deal and I've been really happy with mine, minimal chatter (I did go with a slightly different clutch because I like noise and vibration, you should stick with the sprung hub full faced disc).

That keeps you within your $1k range and still leaves $100 for beer money for your friend. Make sure he's aware of the alignment pin on the flywheel or you'll end up doing the job twice because the engine won't start...
