Question Is around 15 mpg normal for aggressive driving style?

I have an 06 coupe with 110k miles on it. I recently purchased it and got new plugs/ basic tune up stuff and the oil changed. My driving style is not grandpa, I am usually mildly gunning for it/ like to a lot. Is there anything I can do or check for other than changing my driving style to get an extra few miles to the gallon? Thanks guys.

If your area still runs winter mix then yes, but if you are running summer gas and still getting 15 I'd tell ya to slow down a bit :P.

I get like 17 city 27 highway regularly.

Yeah it's pretty normal for aggressive city driving.

That sounds a liiiiiittle low to me. I usually hover right around 19mpg with a heavy foot, and ~80% of my driving is in the city or heavy traffic. It couldn't hurt to buy some MAF cleaner, check/clean your air filter, and maybe dump some injector cleaner in your tank before your next fillup. I use Seafoam, but anything with PEA should do the trick.

Yeah, 19.8 for me running 91 octane in 60-80 degree weather on my commute, average speed is around 50 mph, and you better believe I redline at least 3 or 4 times each way. When there's a car in front of me which inevitably happens on a long enough twisty road I just stick 'er in 6, cruise control, and blast the tunes.
