Need help taking out radio of '04 G35

I just recently bought an aux cord for my '04 g35 but its an automatic and I can't figure out how to take out the radio. I've taken off the gear **** and clock but I can't get the head unit out or gear shifter to connect what I need to. Any suggestions?

You can also go to Metras website, go thru the steps as if you were purchasing a dash kit, and then there will be a downloadable link for the installation instructions which will start off by removing the radio.
