Ecu damage how to figure how to swap plz help
So I was working on my g35 2003 and there was a piece of insulation missing around the harness I wasn't aware of. The one that goes to the MAF sensor. It shorted while vehicle key was in on position. Car now has a crank no start condition and I can't get communication with obd reader any longer. The car was turning on fine before. Is it most likely ecu that fried and if I got a used one from salvage yard would I have to change out the bcm. How can I figure out which one is the bad one. If i change ecu should i also change bcm? Any help would be appreciated and thanks for your time

Yes
Yes i did theres two fuse modules under the hood and 1 right on top of the bcm on driver side next to clutch pedal it is a 6 speed manual transmission, im sure i didn't damage the bcm otherwise id be having issues with body accessories but everything was fine, i also chexked every single fuse up top from the3 bcm all was fine i have a crank no start condition. connection from obd was fine before the incident. id get a reading everytime. i connected my obd. no reading now so im not a mechanic but crank no start issue and no connection from ecu to obd must be.blown ecm. Qthinking of purchasing an identical ecu with ignition bcm and immobilizer and hope it runs too much pride to take the car to a dealership plus i cant afford it. what do you think and thanks for replying appreciate you
