Occasionally, when I start my car while my foot is engaging the clutch my car makes a short growling noise (1 to 2 seconds at the top end of the start-up when the engine is cold.) The drive belt and both pulleys were changed Dec 1st, 2018. Also, no noises occur when I'm driving and no CEL. I'd say 1 in every 6 starts I hear this quick growl noise. It may be a clutch or timing chain related noise? Note: The noise only occurs on start-up when my foot is engaging the clutch and transmission is in Neutral.

2004 G35 Coup 6MT 50,000 original miles everything 100% stock. No problems with the car thus far.... mechanically sound other than this occasional noise.

No worries or concerns Tristan, what you're hearing is the traction control engaging! The first time I heard that, I got a little freaked out myself...no worries!
