It turned on! I drove it for a few minutes and told the tow truck driver to follow me to the new shop and the car made it all the way there (12 miles including parts highway) with no issues! When I arrived at the shop I didn't turn it off and left it running in the lot. The mechanic took a quick look at it and said he would see if it would turn on again...and unfortunately we couldn't get it on after that lol. He doesn't believe its the computer and agreed that if it was, it would be best to get a used one and he has all the tools to setup the key etc.

Hopefully he has an update for me soon.
Id love an update on this as its sounding very familiar

I was driving and the car died on me (VDC, SES, all that jazz) wouldn't turn on had it towed and ended up replacing the fuel pump. A week later it died on me again and ended up replacing both cam sensors and belts. Last Saturday it died on me again (one crank doesn't turn on all lights in dashboard on) and now the mechanic is saying its a bad ECM and wants $2600 to replace it.

I'm going to have it towed to another local mechanic because I can't see putting that much money into this car anymore. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I apologize I posted this in the wrong thread. Can I mod move it for me please?
I had a strange buzzing coming from behind the battery when I pareked it night before last, I turned the car onm and off several times but it persisted, so I started the car a few times and it finally stopped. Yesterday on my way to LA for band practice at uncle rehearsal in van nuys I noticed some hesitation, I thought it was trying to go into limp mode, but it was charging at between 14.0 14,5, wasnt overheating and as far as I could tell the fuel system was working right, made it to practice, and when I left it was doing the same sorta running funny up the 5 (grapevine) headed home to taft, I normally run between 70 and 80 mph up those steep *** hills, and it did fine until almost to gorman, then it started hesitating and the service engine light started flashing, which is g35-ese for " pull the f over and turn it off before youre totally screwed. I did and thought that my thermostat temp sensor was malfunctioning because when I released the pressure tab on the radiator cap it all started floweing out of the resorvoir like it was overheated, so I let it cool for about 15 minutes replaced the radiator fluid, and started it back up, it ran for about 2 seconds and shut off, wouldnt start again but it began witrh the strange buzzing again, so I went to the fuse/relay panel and located the offending relay turns out it was the ecm relay so I switched it out with one of the cooling fan relays, cranked but no start, switched basically every relay on the whole panel, only the original one would do the buzzing but none of them worked to get it started, had my girl go get me a new relay, still nothing and the fuel pump wouldnt prime or pump, so I pullked trhe fuel pump housing, removed the pump, hard wired it to the battery and the pump worked just fine. so I put it back in the housing and put it back in the tank. left the car on the side of the highway and went home with my girl. I just finished ordering a new/used ecm from north american diesel parts for $46.59 headed out with the car trailer today to go pick up my car and bring her home after practice this afternoon. I will keep you posted on the results after I replace the ecu, but it is super easy to remove and replace its under the dash on the passenger side, 2 10 mm bolts and a little effort is all you have to deal with, I dont get why these other mechanics want to charge thousands of dollars for such a simple repair. If you are anywere near taft CAlifornia I could propbably fix your car, I was an A.S.E. certified automotive technician until 2005 when I went a different direction in life and became an armed Security Patrol Captain for a private corporation based in Bakersfield. I took one hell of a pay cut, but I only work a couple of hours a day and spend the rest of my time writing ,composing and performing metal music with Curttain Call record label Artist Fantom Fire.
