What is this sound coming from?

Does anyone know why my G is making this noise? I doubt its rod knock or anything like that. I've already done an engine swap because my original engine had the clicking sound. This isn't the same noise. Please respond asap. Copy/Paste the link below for a video of it.

Sounds like one of your plastics is scraping on the ground.

There's nothing touching the ground. Just checked.

Check to make sure there is nothing like a plastic bag or piece of paper wrapped around or stuck to the undercarriage rubbing against the driveshaft. Look up into the well too as it could be out of sight from a straight across look from the side.

I remember someone saying it was the silicone chunks in the coolant system from something failing. I thought it was for the V36 chassis only though but maybe not.

If the sound is coming from the engine bay then stop driving it immediately, you may have broken a timing chain guide. If it's coming from directly under the seats then it may be rattling heat shields on the catalytic converters.

Maybe it is the shields. I didn't even think about that. I'll check on that when I get a chance. It's definitely not from the engine. I bought a fresh engine and already had it checked by Nissan. The sound isnt coming from the front at all.

Also, don't discount debris under the vehicle. I had a rattle that drove me insane for about a month. I went under the vehicle with a big security inspection mirror multiple times, even had the car up on a lift trying to find the problem. When I was traveling 20-50 mph it sounded like a plastic bag was stuck under the car.

I eventually found the problem, it was NOT what I thought it would be... lemme dig through some old photos and I'll find the picture of the culprit.

THIS LITTLE TWIG! It was wedged into a drain hole in the chassis and was just barely touching the ground. I had seen it multiple times when inspecting under the vehicle but thought there was no way in hell it could make so much noise that sounded exactly like a fluttering plastic bag under the car. You could hear me coming from a block away.

😂😂 Hopefully my noise is the heat shield or something as minor as a stick. I'll follow up when I can.

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago! Almost the same size, wedged itself under the body where the side skirts meet the chassis. Thought I was dragging something metallic, was just wood on asphalt. Strange how it was so loud.

Wait until your sunroof drains start plugging up and flowing water into your interior during rainstorms. Huge PITA to fix.
