anyone know where i can get a carb compliant catalytic converter that’s less than $660, i was told by a shop that i need the driver side bank 2 replaced

 

You mean an OEM cat. Go to the regional forums, maybe you can find someone locally who will let you borrow one.

 

Before you by a new converter have someone else verify that's what you need! Not all mechanics know their job, might be a sensor rather than the converter! Magnaflow makes high flow CARB correct converters for our cars if you find out that's what you need, my car I'd replace both!
