G35 crank no start

Hey guys I’m new to the forum i have a 04 g35 manual coupe with 94k miles i recently got it and as of late it has a crank no start issue. I don’t have the oem key it’s a new key. The fans turn on, the security light stays solid when i try to crank. What could be the issue?

I think our keys are chipped. If your new key isnt programmed to the car, it aint gonna start.

Solid red NATS/IVIS indicator light means it's anti-theft is triggered and you're locked out. These keys have a transponder in them and the BCM must be programmed to accept the key. U1000 should clear when the NATS/IVIS lockout is cleared.

Called a lock smith today and tried to get a new key reprogrammed and the computers weren’t communicating with the ecu. What could it be? Fried ecu?

Tow it to Nissan and see if they are able, not all locksmiths have the necessary tools.

It's programming the BCM though, not the ECM.

So my key did loose connection to the bcm? It makes sense cause my fans kick on cause the ecu is not receiving power

hey wondering if you ever figured your problem out? My cars having same issues won't start AT check light flashing 16 times, fans kick on, security lights solid, can't connect to my ECU to get any codes reads error everytime.... Got a new IPDM didn't fix the problem. I only have my spare key and don't know how to test the chip in it or even where to start any test to determine anything wrong with the chip to ECU communication
