Value of the Board is dropping
The problem is that a lot of people buy this car for the image. They don't know so much about performance, but because they have a "performance car," they think they do. So there's a lot of BS thrown around by people who really know even less than nothing.
If anyone here is familiar with c-c.com (I'm not posting the real name, the people over there won't appreciate the flood of newbies that could result), then you know what a real automotive message board should be.

With every new model year comes a new group of members. People flood in at this time of year, then again at the end-of-the-year clearances. Same old questions, and hardly anyone runs a search. I personally believe we should incorporate an IQ test into the registration process.

As well I particularly agree with the IQ test. Some amount of reposts and silly stuff mainly because of laziness is bad enough but the amount of unintelligible writing and incoherent thinking by some is pretty tedious and annoying.
No flamers please.
what family do you know that DOESN't bitch @ each other every now & then ?
Sounds trite but that's kinda sorta what this group is. We just voluntarily 'adopted' each other for a single simple purpose. I - for one - have learned a lot about my new love on this forum by looking @ pix & 'listening' to d.a. questions & YES, searching for answers.
One last thing - if you'll permit me. I'm what quite a few of you would consider an 'old fart'. One which has been driving sport coupes & two seaters since I was 14 through the old skool twisties of Tenn, N & S Carolina - like Tail of the Dragon. So I know when a car handles like a dream and what sux. My point is - - for god's sake stop worrying about offending by refering to age differences. If I actually gave a rip about what you think about who does or does not drive a g & why, I would have been gone long ago. & YES, I realize that the fact that I brought it up may SEEM to say that it actually does get to me but what I'm really after is "I just hope we don't screw a pretty decent thing up by focusing on the petty bitching. More Control ? If need be." OK, I feel better.... outa here.

you can't really stop questions from being asked over and over because new people will always ask questions and even those that have been here will ask repeat questions since the search often times may not yield a suitable answer... we've all been newbies once so can't blame them for asking questions... but i hate when newbies get angry when people don't answer their questions...
other than that these boards have good info and the occasional drama thread... I'd rather have it like that than some of the other boards out there that get little to no activity...
and clokwork you haven't been here long enough to really know the whole deal... if you want drama look up the Ducati Guy threads... now that was drama lol... there's a cycle of drama then no drama... you just happened to come in at no drama then now you see drama and you think the boards are going to hell lol... although i think the boards have already gone to hell...

LMAO, that is 100x better then asking what exhaust sounds loudest with minimal hp gains!
i have been around for awhile, so i have had the luxury of remembering what has been posted and what has not. i agree that some posts are kinda lame, but that is the nature of the internet and message boards.
i dont blame people for posting things that have been discussed 100x times before though. they have not been around enough to remember all the past posts. the search functionality on boards is rough, at best. lets say i wanted to find out some info in a z tube. the search results would being back every post in which someone has z tube in thier sig! not too helpful.
as long as ppl are asking questions that genuinly interest them and not being trolls, i have no issue with ppl posting stuff that has been discuss eleventy billion times.

Hey I wrote that story you are referencing. I'm surprised you take everything so seriously. You are new here and you'll realize a lot of lighthearted threads.

I notice an Elitist attitude about the car that make me laugh. A G35 is not a fargin Modena, or 911 turbo, it's a damn Nissan. Sadly, this uppety attitude is very much prevalent in my city as well among owners. What can you do? Some people think a car makes them a better person or more "important". I hate to say it, but no one is better than anyone else, doesn't matter what you drive, and no matter how cool or important you think you are, we all end up in the same place, 6 feet under. And guess what? You can't take your G with you, your Porsche, or your $. So get off it!

public forum, people ask whatever they are curious about ... freedom of speach ...
if you do not like that quit crying and go start your own web-forum where you would allow to participate only certain type of people asking certain type of questions. Maybe even provide the list of allowed questions to ask, answers to them and the list of forbidden questions
What a fun place would that be! **** democracy **** freedom of speach lets turn to BIG BROTHER telling us what to post and when to post! Vive la MINISTRY OF TRUTH!

I felt like adding my worthless token of unrelated crap

I'm kidding but again, I think you know what I'm getting at. Some (not all) have an elitist attitude, I don't mind it, I just find it humorous. I don't care how much $ you make or what kind of car you drive, someone always has more, so you should be humble, unless your name is Gates
I guess some have to feel like they are higher up or better than everyone else to feel good about themselves, sad
"It's still a civic, then his girlfriend asks if she could ride" bwahahahahaha, funny shiiiat!
