Re: exhaust flames
I have a vid clip of an RX-8 w/ Borla exhaust doing it, probably because that engine runs rich and there's a lot of unburnt gas coming out the back end. It's 3.7 megs if someone wants to host it.

What you will not see is an RX-8 beating our G's!

^^^I bumped into this 30 seconds after I read this thread^^^

This kind of crap is so unnecessary. People post things that will OBVIOUSLY be offensive to people. I think many people just lack tact. If someone drives a Civic and takes great care of it and obviously cares about it, I will not hesitate to compliment him/her because that is their G35 coupe. People buy what they like and what they can afford. Everyone should respect that. I don't see a SINGLE Ferrari owner hating on the G35, so why should we hate on every car of a lesser calibur? Can't the phrase "to each his own" just sit with everyone? We love our cars but that shouldn't give us the right to hate on every other car out there. People treat this like we're the Bloods and they're the Crypts.

heh, thats well said KOJ. I couldnt count the many times I have seen people rip into beamers on this board like they are junk. I would never consider a BMW junk. They build solid cars. Thats on a completely different tangent though. Car pride is cool, but it gets outta hand easily.

I am gonna love my G to death but sheesh.

The Technical and Modification section isn't bad. It has fairly decent traffic and isn't flooded with silly posts like in the Coupe General section.

If you want really high end technical discussion, you have to head over to my350z. Alot of us are still figuring out what's a Z-tube here, and they're already building motors with forged internals.

And people really should use more tact on public forums. You guys gave the example of people hating on BMWs. You don't even have to go outside the Infiniti brand for hating here. Alot of people hate on 5ATs here. There's hate for G35 sedans. Seems like unless you drive a 6mt coupe, you're not a "real" enthusiast.

Really? How many Ferrari owners do you know? How do you know they don't hate on G35's?

I actually know several, what's you point? People say negative things about other people because they're insecure, now why would someone who owns a Ferrari be insecure about their ride?

The NY G Squad had a meet at Detailing Dynamics where a local Ferrari club was also present and by all accounts they were all really cool. They never said stuff like "yeah well my car will smoke the **** out of your G." I think you flaming this comment is extremely unnecessary and proves the point of this thread. What useful information did you flaming my input provide? My point was to be respectful to everyone no matter what kind of car they own and if you don't like their ride then keep your comments to yourself.

I'm sorry for the error and I thank you for correcting me. I think people got the point without you commenting on my spelling. Again proving the validity of this entire thread.

First of all, just because you met a few guys that owned Ferraris does not mean you know them. Second, you have no idea what they say when you're not around. Third, I didn't flame anything, my point was you cannot speak for people that own Ferraris PERIOD. Finally, like I said before, this is a public forum. If someone doesn't like something here they have the right to say so, regardless of what you think.

As for your error, again that was not a flame, just a correction. I did you a favor. Next time you use street gangs in an analogy, you won't look so silly. Ooooops, was that a flame?

Is it really that hard to be friendly? We're all here for the same reason (or so I thought) and I don't see any reason for people to be disrespectful of others. I can walk outside to Fifth Ave and yell mean things at people all day because it's a public space but why would I do that? My point is that just as you say redundant threads are ruining the forums, I think having to step on eggshells to keep someone from saying negative and unhelpful things is as well. There's a difference between having an opinion and being an as$hole. This is just my opinion but I have a feeling that many others agree.

I will be awaiting your overwhelmingly negative response as usual.
So, you're practically demanding that people be "friendly", then stoking the fire for another negative response? The irony is delicious, and you can't even taste it...

And no sh*t a Ferrari owner didn't say "I can smoke your G"- he already knows he can, and unless you're an idiot you know he can too. I do personally know exotic car and supercar owners and they simply don't have discussions such as that unless they are at a track and going to race each other or other supercar owners.

I wrote this loooong rsponse but decided just to keep it simple and to the point. We are all here for the same reason, we love our Infiniti G35's. That's the bottom line. I am pretty confident that if any of us met in person (much like the NYGSquad) we would all get along just fine. It is hard to read a person via internet posts and much of the content gets taken the wrong way. We're all friends here or at least share common interests regardless of age, occupation, education, or background. Let's just start acting like it.

Okay A few thigns

1st, This thread is a contradiction to the point that it was made... someone in the first page said that the same thing pops up...

HERES THE SOLUTION!!!!!
If you don't want to "waste" 5 minutes of your life to help someone out who doesn't know (I have to question why your on post boards first of all, because sharing knowledge is part of it, mabey the guy could find the answer in th 456 pages of threads) don't answer it, someone who will be happy to answer, will. I have learned so much about machanics and my car over the last, barely month by asking nub questions and reading threw some old threads, and im very thankful for people who non-sarcasticly answered my posts, and I do the same for other people.

As for the Ferrari
One of the 7th graders at my school, has a dad who drives a niice moden360? (not to familiar with spellings or models of Ferraris) actually waved me over and told me how sweet my ride is and how he wished he had as nice as car I as do when he was my age, and how he's been considering picking one up.

I've found that Ricer drivers, and pickup drivers are much more ******* to me than nice car owners, becuase nice car owners generally dont have gelousy cuz they have there own sweet ride...

Thats my beef
