I have a 2004 G35 with 194k on the chassis and 80k on the engine.
New to this. Advice on my 2004 g35
So i just got a 2004 G35 for about 2.9k. It has 190k on the chassis and 80k on the engine. I've been driving it for a week and a few days now and no issues or sensors going off (might be a bad and good thing). But so far no mechanical issues. On top of that I've been check the oil every other day (because I'm paranoid it might have a bad oil consumption problem which what I hear is normal but still.) The oil seems stable so far. It has a CARB-approved intake on it and a Z-tube PCV replacement on it already along with (unpainted) aftermarket duraflex front and rear bumpers. The only big deal with the car is the cosmetics. The exterior body has about 4-5 dents and 2 spots with scratches. The biggest part is the dent on the front right fender of the car. Paint got shaved off and theres a small crack in the bumper.
After all that, my plan originally is to first, save up and get the right fender dent and bumper fixed. Then after I save for dent removal or possibly I can do the dent removal myself with a cheap kit (like $15)? < Need input on this. Then after that I plan on leaving the scratches(if possible) and just saving for a wrap over the car. < So I need input on my whole plan if theres a better way or cheaper way, or etc. that I can possibly consider for my car.
Also this is assuming nothing else goes wrong with my car in the process of all this. Sorry this being absurdly long, but I just need some advice. A little more info, I went to an Auto Body Shop to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix the dents and bumper and it came out to be $1,313.00 so nah...

why not just go to junkyard, find a g coupe, u might even find the same color panels as yours, replace them one by one, or someone that are parting out their g
if you want the whole car color match, in my experience, a good wrap is about the same price with a ok paint job or more.... so it is all up 2 u
for $1313, i will look into repaint the whole car to be honest, of course u wont get the best paintjob in the world but at least it should be decent
i also owned a high millage 04 with 187k on the clock, and mine is silver like yours when it also started lol

Talk to your local pick-n-pull about using some of their vehicles to practice your paintless dent removal. Cost me the $2.50 yard entry fee and I practiced on random vehicles for about 4 hours one day to get a feel for it. It's nice because you can be pretty rough on junkyard panels without worrying about screwing stuff up.
