Canadian Projectors on USDM Coupe

So here's one I haven't seen (seen plenty of USDM lights on Canadian car posts, but not the other way around). Just ordered/installed some projector lights (for anyone wondering, yes, the light output/lens quality is so, so, SO much better than the reflectors) and the seller didn't inform me they were from a Canadian car (selling point was New York). Everything works BUT the foglights/DRLs (seeing as USDM cars aren't setup for DRLs). I imagine the foglights and DRLs are supposed to be running on the same circuit that I am missing.

Not having fogs doesn't bother me too much, but if it's an easy fix I'd like to get them hooked up (or maybe make some custom LED DRL, I don't know). Anybody ever done Canadian lights on a USDM car?

The DRL is almost always a separate module, not 100% sure about the G but I'm betting it is.

Canadian G’s have a daytime light control unit. American G’s dont.

So I COULD get a DRL module, but that's gonna get me full DRL, not working fogs...sounds like I'll be staying on the no-fogs train. Wish the seller had disclosed the donor cars origins, but ah well.

Well, anything is possible with some re-wiring. Its just a regular bulb. Feed it power and it will light up.

Yeah, I'm usually not a fan of "non-reversible" mods unless it's something I desperately want. Not comfortable with electrics either, so I think I'll be keeping those wires untouched for now. The nighttime visibility and lens quality alone was worth the cost.

It's possible and likely that both lamps are burned out.

The seller said that all bulbs were with the unit, but they do look a little burnt behind the reflectors...maybe if I feel like it I'll swap those out (bulbs on these cars are such a pain in the *** to do.

05 takes D2R
06-07 takes D2S

Its basically the same bulb but the D2R has a shield on one side to block glare from the reflectors. The D2S doesnt have the shield because the projector focuses the light where it should be.

That holds true for every bulb on the headlight? Fogs appear to be a reflector, so I'd imagine those would be D2R bulbs.
