biggest mistake of my life

so i went with my mom on january to purchase 05 g35 at a local infiniti dealership or atleast to just look at it

there it was on the show room....black on black.....beautiful!

too bad at the time the car wasnt out in stick yet.....sure i wanted it in stick...but like an idiot just got my mom to buy it because i really didnt think it would make a big difference

i went back to the dealership a couple of days ago asked how much would i end up loosing tradin in this one for the exact same one in stick

i practicly end up loosing 8,gs from the 20 that we put down

any tips or ideas on wut i can do to get my hands on a stickshift g35....or atleast some comments to make me feel better about this beautiful car that i have

...dont get me wrong i love my car but nothin beats the feel of havin a clutch under your foot........

You have a great car-enjoy it for many years! For your next car think a little longer if you are not sure, and wait if you have to. And I sure hope this was the biggest "mistake" in your (and your mother's) life.

Well, too be honest... Stick is a pretty a rough ride to use. You'll be more happier if you stick with Auto w. sport shift. At any time, you can switch to sport shift and enjoy the ride!

or u can trade it in for an 04 g35c 6mt with low mileage and probably can do an even trade.

Good thing about an auto... Since that you just sit back during traffic... not having to worry stepping on the clutch, down shifting and all that good stuff...

I'm trying to sell my G35 as a matter of fact..........before you cut this message out, she's got full exhaust work done, greddy twin turbo, JWT flywheel, and ACT 6 puck clutch. Hopefully I'll be dynoing it soon, I'll be sure to post everything on the car soon!

if powers wut you want jus upgrade your torque converter and get a valve body upgrade.. youll shift faster than any mt out there.. jus that itll costs $.. of course as for not having a clutch you cant do anything about that

edit: or not power wut i ment was speed as in 0-60 times

I learned how to drive stick on the G35C - honestly though, with the new improved rev-matched downshift and lack of Brembos on a 6MT, you can't lose with a 5AT.

howcome re4kshun's losing 8k when u only lost 3k? if it's only 3k for a new one, then i think its worth the trade.

no joke, but sometimes i have this reoccuring nightmare that i bought a 5AT.

this is a very sad story that deserves alot of attention. i feel so bad for you man.

i think there should be a nightline special on this story. "next on nightline, the traedgy of a boy whose mom bought him a g35, but it was an automatic. watch as this tragic tale of loss unfolds" i think you could get alot of symapthy from this story...

anyway, welcome to the board and enjoy your ride! the 6mt is fun as hell, but you still got a nice ride. learn from the exp and be patient next time!

You really let your mother buy you a G35? I don't know if I'd admit that.
