2004 G35 Rear Coil OEM After Market
2004 G35 Rear Coil OEM After Market
Is there a cheaper, common brand, like all the other cars use or does anyone know of a direct match that I can just buy from a parts store, like auto zone or something, that matches the oem 55020-AM810?
If you found one that is different but the exact same please let me know. Ebay is worn out, I wanted to get a new set from a parts store if someone did this already.
I can buy one, for the oem price and go try and match this over the counter at every store, but if you know where the post, or someone can tell me, I would be happy to know, before I spend the money and go to every parts store with it and then have to return the oem after I match it, it would save a lot of time and money and help out a lot.
Thanks

Clean up your existing spring and find the big painted dots, that's how you tell which spring you need, you can then search around for the correct spring. It's incredibly uncommon for springs on these vehicles to sag, are you SURE there's something wrong with your spring? If the rear feels squishy it's probably just your rear shocks.
Check out this thread for picture examples of the color dots I'm talking about, get a can of brake cleaner and wipe down your springs until you find the dots.

Yeah, but I thought there may be a secret no one wants to say about the ac delco springs etc. that people know of that match these springs.
The car, I cannot fit my hand under the driver side, that is the side that pulls = spring, I replaced the shocks.
B. I want to find a spring that is the same, and the car has 150k on it, and has been through some major hits and major wear was on it when I got it, when it was sold to me, I thought, it looked too low in the back but it was sitting at an upward angle to hide it, it may have been raced. I got it at 60k.
C. I really think there are springs that are after-after market, that people have cut, or used that you can get from auto zone etc. I just need a P.M. or anything if there is a secret match for ac delco or some other brand.
They springs cheap all over for all cars and have multiple sizes that can match the length.
There's no way I can buy used springs, and they do the same thing, if they are from a used car with the same miles on them.
I know, the dot thing, but there isn't enough to match on this hell of a network that I see, and they are used.
I will just have to pay if no body can tell me the length of a brand new pair of springs..
*******FInally, Last Question Most Important - Do you think they will tell me the length of the springs? Or do you know them? Possibly the pressure, then I can go match them to the Auto Zone springs or O' Reilly??
I appreciate your consideration.
thanks.

Check out this thread, it's a huge compilation of spring rates for various manufacturers. At the top are the stock spring rates.
If you have aftermarket springs then yes they may have sagged, personally I would not hesitate to use a set of used OEM springs though.
