So around half a year ago my car started making this high pitched squealing noise. The noise was only there in park and in neutral, only when I hit the brakes in neutral. From what I remember if I hit the brakes in neutral and when it squeals the dash lights dim a little bit. Only once I believed the whole car stalled out in drive when I was at a stop sign no noises I think it just stopped but started afterwards. Then finally after like 2000 miles of squealing I left my car in park and went into a store for 10 minutes when I came back out it was still making the noise, I drove to another store turned off the car and it won't turn on anymore. I did replace the starter when the car still drove, in fact the new starter made the car not start so I put the old one back in, then after it stopped starting I replaced it again and it didn't work at all. There is one thing to note I changed the ATF at 180k miles and the noise started 2 months after that. Any kind of clues on what the issue is is helpful because I'm planning on fixing it up, thanks in advance.

 

Sounds like your belts are shot. Is that what's squealing?
