New owner with questions (07 6MT)
First, I'm loving this car! Slowly addressing small items. The drivers door won't lock/unlock with the fob or button on the door. It "clicks", and passenger locks/unlocks, but not drivers side. Works with the key though. I'm guessing it's the lock actuator? I've done one on a Nissan before, so hopefully a similar process. But the other issue is the drivers window rolls itself back down halfway when I raise it with the auto-up feature. I've read a few threads, tried the easy reset, but it didn't fix it. Next step is to pull the door panel and do the reset with the button on the window motor.
Before I order parts and open the door (I'd like to fix both items at the same time), I wanted to make sure that my thinking makes sense and that these two issues aren't related and may be something other than actuator and power window reset process.
Any input would be great. i ordered a new door check stopper to keep the door on and will do all 3 tasks next week.
Thanks!

Yep. I’ve replaced both of my lock actuators and window motors. Same symptoms. I think once a low battery caused my windows to flip out as well, so you might check that.
If/when you replace the window motor, I remember that we drew some outline circles around some of the supports that place and hold the window so that you can be sure the window is set in the correct place without having to mess with it multiple times to get the height right.
Sorry I can’t be more accurate - this was a long time ago. I think you’ll see what I’m saying when you get in there just be sure to mark the window placement before taking anything apart.

I did try that first, but it didn't work (now I know why). This weekend I took apart the door and did the reset while holding the button. It worked great. so far. And now the window cracks when I open the door, and goes up when I close it. It didn't do that before. While the door was apart, I also replaced the piece that keeps the door open in 2 positions. I also installed a $10 lock actuator. Works great!
I'm loving this car...
