Did you actually type "until you wave your keyboard for mercy "? Whatever you say, Internet tough guy! Hilarious...

I do love that you found a Datsun Skyline, though. To my knowledge they were only sold in Australia, but you learn something new every day. Excellent.

Please don't tell me that all of the Lexus SC430 owners are rebadging their cars "Toyota"! Or BMW owners want to rebadge their cars Range Rover (which BMW was more than happy to dump).

I ask this question only from the standpoint that if someone sees my car and another one "rebadged" NISSAN that mine will look cheaper in their eyes. And we all know that these cars are about ego, so don't tell me you don't care.
An SC430 with Soarer badges looks pretty cool since Toyota makes their own little sub-logo per-se for some cars. I like the Harrier (RX330) eagle logo too. Looks mean. Then again most SC owners are in their late 40's or 50's so I don't see much of that going on other than the import scene...Living in Southern California, I have seen my share of GS owners rebadge to Aristo and RSX owners rebadge to Integra. No big whoop here coz it's the same car.

What I really want to see is the new Pontiac GTO rebadged to a Holden Monaro!!!

That's a good point- I wonder if any GTO owners are rebadging to Holden?

The Nissan Skyline name to Enthusiasts has much more prestige than G35. And it is a Nissan, even the controls are still RHD, down to the seat controls.

If you go to the GT-R forums, most hate the G35 and think its nothing but a 350Z with 2 extra seats.

To each his own. I prefer to leave mine as Infiniti. But I do not see anything wrong with rebadging if done accurately. In my opinion, however, since this is not the equivalent to the GTR- rebadging to Skyline is kinda hokie as the Skyline that gets the true respect is the GTR and not the GT. But I do agree that the 350 GT designation is accurate. But in America it is not a Nissan it is an Infiniti. I can't get my car serviced under warranty at any of the Nissan dealerships. I get an Infiniti warranty with Infiniti service. In America The G35 is the foster child of Infiniti- disowned, as it were, by Nissan- so I will not rebadge as a result.

Its still a SKYLINE...at least in GT4 it is. I love the fact that my car is an INFINITI and not just a NISSAN....love nissans too. Ive had my Maxima for 6 years now...awsome cars and reliable... thats why I decided to upgrade to Infiniti....To me its like the difference between steak and burgers...both are great but we all know a burger is just a burger....unless its a steakburger....lol ....which in our world would be an INFINITI SKYLINE.....follow ???? hehehe

i think nissians name gained some respect with the skyline gtr34s and 33s.. that might be the reason why ppl rebadge their infiniti's.. i guess for the "ricier" crowd as some ppl call it.. suped civics, supra, import tuner.. u no

There are a number of Chevy S-10s and Silverados out here in Vegas that have Escalade grilles installed, Escalade and Cadillac badges slapped on them, and a few have even gone as far as to get Escalade paint jobs. I don't get it...

Hmmmmm I can empathize with both perspectives of to badge or not. Personally, I think rebadging is a little goofy, but i also respect it as it may be some peoples personal preference. I understand that the g35 is the equivalent to the skyline in japan, but we live in america. I know the allure of JDM cars has manifested itself in america's car culture, but it is solely imitation and a bit immature to call your car something that it is not- I am not talking about it in a physical sense because obviously the g35 is the skyline. I am talking about it in an ideological sense-where the "skyline" name belongs in japan and the "g35" name belongs in america.

i know after reading that, you are rapidly searching for the 'reply' button to flame, but it is just my personal opinion. disregard it if you dont agree.

I agree with you and you should be confused. First off you could not fit an "escalade grill in an S-10 if you wanted too.
