Hey guys, I’ll send a sound clip later but when I am at idle like at a stop sign my car starts making a ticking sound. It happens both when ac is on and off so it’s not that. I also noticed my rpm is a bit lower than usual. This ticking sound only happens when my rpm is low and it’s not oil, I checked the levels and it’s at about half.

It may just be injectors but what’s your mileage?

Might just be tight valve clearances & valve train noise. Not much to worry about, check oil level.

Check out on the forums and on Google for the gallery gasket issue behind the Timing cover. You can lose oil through it and blow your engine up. It’s what the previous owner of my car did.

low oil pressure will kill the car quick.

Do I also need to do valve cover or just gallery gaskets for now?
