What type or brand do you guys recommend for a DG, 6MT with graphite interior. 20% on the sides and rear window? Is LLUMAR a good brand to use?

 

Man I never really thought about brands for tint... I just went to my local tint job and tinted my M3. Nice 5 percent tint all the way around ACCEPT windshield.

I'm so broke right now I can't afford to tint my G35 Coupe... but I'm gonna get it done from the same place. I guess to me tint is tint..

 

LLUMAR is a great quality tint... I've had 3 vehicles done. As far as the percentage it depends on the laws of your state. Missouri passed their new tint law last year that now allows us to tint the driver and passenger side windows, but only to a maximum of 35%. I would have liked 20%, but I like the tint to be uniform on all of the windows. It looks really good although I would have like them to be a bit darker.

I got "Infinity" Brand tint which according to my local shop is the best you can get after ceramic tint. I got 20% all the way around with no coloration or any of that other crap. I think it looks great. Peace.

I got the Huper Optik Ceramic tint & have been very pleased... Although I wish I had gone a bit darker - W/ the willow interior Huper Drei (35%) is too light - Huper Stark 20 would have been sweet. But

The install was TOP QUALITY and they came to my office - got a discount by having my friends Supra done too. best tint I have ever used for heat thats for sure...

Is Huper a regional brand of tint? The only tints I have heard good things about are LLumar(which i praise, all of my 6 cars have been done with that and have never faded) and Solarguard. The rest I have just heard mediocre or bad things about. Mostly about color fading....Pardon my ignorance if Huper is some top notch ish.!

I think Huper just came out not too long ago. My local tint shop had a four sided heat lamp display, and the Huper barely let any heat through compared to the other tints. The plus side is Huper 35% looks slightly darker than, say, Solar Guard 35%.

Thanks guys for the advice. I am going with LLUMAR 20% all around except WS of course. I found a place close to my house that will do it for $99.00. Coupon expires on 7/15, hope my G gets here in time. Due in July, Miami! I also found a x-pel installer that has done several G's. He will do the hood kit and the bumper kit for $550.00 , which includes the material. If anyone is in South Florida and would like his contact info, let me know. Send me a PM! Waiting to see the AXIS se7en phots that Raj is going to post. I found a place in Ft. Lauderdale that will sell them for $1398. 20 x 10 rears and 19 x 8 fronts, silver.

Yep. Huper optik is $300 for back window and small sides or $400 with doors. It is a new high tech ceramic tint and is lighter in color but has much higher heat rejection and no radio issues. I plan to get it. There is only one authorized dealer in So. Calif./LA area.

Regular tint qoutes I have gotten are $100-$200.

 

Wow! I got the Huper Optik Stark 30 (35%) for ~$330 for all sides and back window.... and I though Hawaii was expensive! The film is actually slightly darker than Solorguard True Grey 35% film.
