Anyone found that water drips in on the seats whenever it's raining,(or doors are wet)???? I hate running out to the car when it's raining out, and opening the door, just to have all that water fall in on my leather seats!!! And BTW, no I will not put those gay looking rain deflectors on my doors.
My point is, perhaps Nissan/Infiniti needs to redesign the windows/doors a little better to deflect water. AND YES, the windshield washer fluid is JUST as bad.

Yeah, its a problimo, but I am willing to put up with it to keep the clean look of the G and not add drip rails, etc.
I keep a little rag in the car for this reason.

Re: Rain is a PITA!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, It pools up right on the rubber window seal and when the window does it's little quarter inch down trick, you have a wet shoulder, leg, or seat. As long as it hits me and not my seat, I can live with it.

You guys must be kidding !! So every time you wash the car, you're also wiping up the seats too ?? It rains all the time here or I'm washing the car. This could be an issue for me. Is a dish towel your best recourse ?? ...dean

It's not that big of a deal but yes it is a little annoying. The way I look at it because of the smooth clean lines of the G there is nothing that can be done about the problem so yeah a dish towel suits me fine.

Uh, I don't think I've been having that problem (and god knows the weather was awful for the first 3 months I had my G). No water spots on my leather, and I definitely wasn't wiping them. Maybe a different wax will help? Something that sheets water away? Maybe it also makes a difference that my seat is all the way back. I don't know.

Glad I live in Southern Cali where it's RARE when we get any rain on the coast. We did get rain a while back, but no problems what so ever. Glad my G don't got those problems (or any other problems hehehe). =)

I don't even drive my car in the rain for that reason. I kept my car that I got before I got my coupe... A Hyundai Accent... Yes, everyone can laugh at that, but I don't give a shiznit about driving in the rain with that car or worry about washing it for that matter... I concentrate all my efforts in flashing my coupe when it is a nice sunny day... Out here in Cali, we got a lot of those.

Re: Rain is a PITA!!!!!!!!!!
Just so everyone is on the same page, this isn't happening when the door is closed and window is up. Only when you open your door or crack the window. NOTHING leaks in the car when it is all buttoned up. All we were saying is that when you get out of the car while it's raining, the water drips right in the area of your leg or shoulder depending on how far back your seat is. Or on the seat when you getting into the car.

Yeah I also have this "feature" hehe
Its because there is no panel on the top of the door, it is just glass. This happens on all cars that have no top doorsill
