Bigger tires on stock 19" 2005 rims
Does anybody know what the maximum size tires I can fit on my stock 2005 19" rims. I was thinking of 245/30/19 front and 275/30/19 rear? Will these fit?Any feedback would be helpful.
Don't know the exact maximum, but I believe those might be too big. I remember on a Porsche I used to have I could only go from a 275 to a 285 w/o buying different wheels. I realize that's vague and unscientific. Anyone else have that size on the stock 05s?
The wheels are 8" width, so a 275 width tire will not fit. Based on your sidewall height, 245 is the widest you can go. One of these days Infiniti will stagger the wheels too like everyone else.

if they are 19x8.5 do not go wider than 265
^if you go any wider on the tires the sidewalls will begin to budgle out the side which would lead to worse traction & handling

265s would be a stretch (not literally) to fit an 8.5" wheel, The manufacturer's recommend a minimum width of 9". 265s would probably work however. However, with these size tires a 30 aspect ratio is wrong, the OD would be too small. Go with 245/35/19 in front and 265/35/19 in back. And yes, the stock 19s are 8" front, 8.5" rear.

I would have to say 245/35 front and 255/40 rear if you want maximum safe width. However, if you want optimal handling, I would suggest 245/35 front and 245/40 rear. That would be very close to stock height and give you a more balanced handling. The G35C is powerful, but a stock one is not powerful enough to overcome rear traction all that easily.

I stand corrected on the wheel sizes for the '05s. You can go to 255, but watch your sidewall height choices. Suk, I should send you a pic of my 275s and you'll probably change your point of view. I had no problems overpowering the stock 245s.
