05 G35C 6 MT = NO BREMBOs?!

I was talking to the sales rep. today because I am going to trade in the FX35 for a coupe and he told me that the 05 do not come with Brembos anymore! I asked him why and he didn't know. Whey would they down grade for the new model?! Did the manufacturer decide that the brembos are just as good as the ones on the stock 05?

I'm sure this has been discussed before on the forum...but if someone can answer this question real quick or give me the link to the discussion that would be great!

Should I just get an 04 instead of an 05?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

SEARCH!!!!!!!!

There are a million threads here that cover the topic. Many people have differing opinions and you'll hear both sides if you read the threads that cover the topic.

Good luck in your future purchase.

Brembos aren't all that....go with the 05...many improvements were made on the 05....on a side note, the 05 35th Anniversary 350Z comes with Brembos....don't know why they aren't offered on the G anymore...

Someone should call the corporation/engineering or whatever and settle this damn "once a week" question and make it a sticky called "THIS IS WHY INFINITI TOOK OUT BREMBO BRAKES".

Do a search, you wont be dissapointed.

the stockers have shorter stopping distance than the brembos. however, the brembos are going to show a lot less fade than the stockers. on the street for everyday normal use, the stockers are going to be just fine if not better. unless you take your car to the track or run through the mountains, i would go with an 05 if the brembos are your only concern.

they should actually make a sticky "IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE THREAD, IF YOU'RE GOING TO REFER THE OP TO SEARCH, IF YOU LIKE TO B*TCH AND START SH**, POST HERE AND HERE ONLY--OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE BANNED"

then I wouldn't be disappointed...

i like that one.

i'm fairly new to this forum but it seems like everybody just HAS to get their 2 cents into every thread. be it relevant or not. somebody will ask about a specific mod and 4 people will post flaming him. god. i cant understand the point in that. if you cant or dont want to answer the question, just dont.

I just did some homework and did a search right now...

but i appricate the input guys...Looks like I will be going with the 05 since it has better interior upgrades, more comfortable seats. Power output probably the same since hp went up but tq went down and 80 lbs. heavier than the 04.

Last week I got a new TB '04 with brembos, bose etc.. at a nice discount. Its a toss up because I like the new interior and HP on the paper, not to mention the 19 inch rims. I'll tell you what though, the new brakes may stop as well but they look real mickey-mouse behind those 19 inchers when you get used to the brembos. Just thinking about it makes me want to go out for a 20 min joyride right now, twilight blue with yummy gold brembos. I catch people looking at the brembos every day in traffic and it's usually the first thing anyone asks me about the car. If you got the cash you could get the best of both worlds, an 05 and a brake kit. Hard to go wrong.

On anything but the track the new brakes are going to be better. They stop as well, are cheaper to replace, and don't create even close to the amount of brake dust. Either are great. To me the '03/'04's are pricier brakes but cheaper tires, the '05 is just the opposite of that. You can't go wrong either way, it's a great automobile.

How do you figure cheaper tires? The 05s no longer have the Michelin Pilots of the 04s and those are pretty much the most expensive tires out there.

Having no Brembos takes nothing away from the '05 for me. I engine brake, don't tailgate, and don't track the car, so less fade wouldn't add anything.
