For those who have tinted their side (rolldown) windows...

Do you get premature scratches and wear on the lower 1/2" of the window due to the constant up/down motion of the window when the door is opened?

I'm thinking of tinting all 5 of my windows but worry about longterm longevity.

I figured the way our cars are made to lower the window 1/2" every time you open the door that there would be premature wear/scratches on the lower 1/2" of the tint, especially if there is dirt on the felt that wipes against the window. Anyone with tint notice this?

Mine looks clean. I'd assume that something like that would depend on the brand of tint as well as the climate in your area.

i have noticed very faint lines where the windows automatically move down to when the door is opened. on the day I got my tint, however, it actually made part of it bubble. i don't think there are any long-term drawbacks though.

Keep the inside of the door clean & you will have no problems. The rubber and felt like seal should be free of dirt & dust ..... That will wreck the tint!
