Not trying to be a d!ck but what are you racing.....sorry but a stock g is not fast. I got tired of being spanked by almost everything on the road which is why I went FI.

in no way am i trying to fuel the 04vs05 debate... im just stating my experiences. i'll be the first to admit i love the 19s and the new interior im just a bit disappointed that in my runs and even according to the vid, the 05 didnt perform like a 300hp car.

and yah i got a ticket for 106 :/ not too fast but enough to f*ck me over for a month. grrr should have requested a trial by declaration

lol like kyo.. the 2 vids thats up.. (or was) were not the best runs.. we did quite a bit but those 2 came out the best.. the last one was, like i said, the worst run but it made a good video xP..

and yeah my 05 is stock with 3k miles on it.. last tranny and motor oil change was 2k. but yeah as we MOD expect to see more videos and possibily with an 05 350z (The camera guy) after a few thousand miles.

as for the PMs.. I'm going to change the setting to 2gb cap once im home.. so hang tight

I agree, the G is not the fastest car I have ever driven. Our car are too heavy compared to the Z, Evo, and STis since it was designed with a better interior. Plus the G doesn't have hp like z06, M3, or the 05 Stang V8. But I can't see it losing to almost everything.

So what kind of car are you racing Gman?

Did you go to the track with before/after results with FI? I am considering FI after I know the track results.

Well I was exagerating when I said almost everything. Pretty much everything you listed up above would hand a g its azz.

I have not gone to the track yet. I may have damaged the valves on my car while it was on the dyno last week. The motor is coming out today and being shipped to SGP for a bottom end build. When I get the car back I should be somewhere are 520-550rwhp at 17psi.......should be good for 11.5 1/4 mile. Sorry for the hijack.

I'd say a stock G35 that can average a 0-60 time in about 5 and a half seconds is "fast" for 30 something thousand dollars. If you want to talk about some cars like EVOs and STi's, yeah.. they will be faster off the line. They are ugly inside and out, with garbage interior, and the ride is nothing as smooth as a G35. The GTO is also in the same price range, and would kick the G35s ***, but its got absolutely no styling, and wouldn't impress anyone. I dont think I have ever driven a car that has impressed so many people with its overall style and grace as the G35.

One of the only cars that I really wanted to, but never had the opportunity to race is an M3.. I'm sure I would lose, but then again I also payed significantly less money and I'd like to see by how much. Only time I have encountered an M3, I was in the E55 AMG, and I smoked his *** like it was nothing, so I cant imagine it was THAT much faster than the G. But then again, the E55 flys. I can beat the pants off of just about anything and everything in that sucker.

bottom line '05 6mt is no faster than the '04 6mt...if anything they are a little slower.....and for any of you who lost a race to a stock 350z...don't blame it on the 350z being lighter...its probably your driving...I'm 260lbs in a g and haven't lost to a 350z yet.... then again I'm not in cali or florida where most of the aftermarket crowd is either...

Maybe whom ever you raced in those 350z's could not drive....I mean common the same motor on a lighter car. It is not rocket science

OK, so the race was done with the 5AT in Auto mode... The auto stick makes a big difference, probably would have been closer...

By the way, that is a fricken awesome video.

I wish I could put a TT FI kit in my wifes G... That would be a great day. 520 - 550 rwhp and it is only at 11.5... Shouldn't it be faster than that? high 10's very low 11's. You FI guys are awesome.

Well if it is closer to the 550rwhp than I don't think the low 11 would be a problem. I said 11.5 cause it is gonna take some practice getting her to stick with that power. 11.5 should be doable even with mistakes and non traction
