Its a business area.. kinda like a truck loading/unloading area.. so the roads are wide and well lit but on saturday and sunday its empty.. if we start at the very end we can probably go up to 130 and still have room to come to a complete stop.. we did more then 2 runs... i think we did 4-6 the first day then about 3 the other day.. these are just the best looking vids.. not really the best runs

I gotta say these guys are probably the coolest 7th graders at that school...i wish i drove a G to middle school. ;b
theGest: dont make me hate you
26 lb Volks + 32 lb S-03s = 58lbs on the rears. That's +7lbs of unsprung weight per corner. I'm being conservative with the Volk's weight, but the I'm right on with the S-O3s. I think its more. I doubt the Volks weigh less than the stock 19s considering the stockers are fully forged vs the Volks with forged centers are spun outers. I think the stock 19s are 25 lbs and 8.5" wide vs the Volks at 10.5". I think the rear Volks may well be over 28lbs, which could put your rear shoes at 60lbs. Unsprung weight can wreak havoc on acceleration.
These cars have been tested in both D and MM and MM yeilded better results. I forgot the article but this is one of the only cars that does better in MM mode. The tranny even sounds different in MM mode (not to say that's what's making the difference)
Factors that play into this race is the wheel weight and size of the AT. That could be a huge factor. The 05 6MT should still win based on high end numbers , but I'm not the most knowledgeable of the 05 6MT performance results, but if that were an 03-04 6MT (stock) it would not have pulled that hard on an AT especially after giving up a head start. It doesn't start pulling until after 3rd gear and that's only if you are demonstrate "expert" driving techniques. Excellent vid BTW.

Deang35c6: i agree. i have a friend letting me borrow his 18s, and we'll see how everything goes the next time around. It should be a closer drag, and therefore I will be expecting more at vs mt flaming
KAHBOOM: i'll give mm a try next time. i always thought D simply shifted whenever it hit redline.
