Any Good Photoshop Experts Out There???

I need a little help...how do you cut the rim out of a picture? How do you get a perfect circle that covers the entire rim and none of the rest of the background?
Any help would be appreciated...let me know if this does not make sense...all I wanna do is cut a rim and paste in on a car...thanks

I use the lasso tool to cut out the rim, but like you, I was looking for a better way to cut a perfect circle.

Thanks guys...but like Britain...I thought that there was a better tool than that...I guess you just have to keep trying until you lasso it perfectly, huh?

ah, I didnt know you could turn the marquee tool into an ellipse. nice! now you just merge photos and move the wheel to the other car.

Not to steal this thread, but how do you change color? the only way Ive figured out makes it a flat, dull color with no shading or reflection at all- just dumping color over the car.

change color = desaturate > change the hue / saturation / brightness

I wouldn't see the point, actually, of taking wheels OUT of a photo. Laying new ones into the photo does not require removal of the previous. (it would be an unnecessary step) And the one above this has rough edges. Here is a png with transparency of just the wheels. The one of the car without the wheels is too large, and jpg's don't do transparency.
