clunk when clutching in
Well.. i've only had my car for a couple of days now.. but today when i was coming home from work each time i put the clutch in i would hear a kind of CLUNK sound... i dont really know how to describe it. it seemed like it would happen right before the point where the pressure plate gets lifted off.. almost as if there was slack but i dont know how that could be..
after awhile it stopped.. but it was going on for a good 15 minutes of driving or so each time i put the clutch in... the sound seems to be coming from infront of the firewall??
any ideas/

I have the same clunk. It only occurs when the RPMs are at idle. For example, if I coast at 30 mph in neutral and push the clutch in I get a clunk going down. Stop and go traffic yields a clunk. If the car is in gear with some RPM drag and I down shift, no clunk. Something to do with the clutch and the engine I think. Doesn't seem normal.
