The M3 might be faster, but as someone stated... The G35 is 90% of power and luxury of an M3... and the M3 will be in the shop 90% more... (Not to mention that the M3 is looking a little dated)

If your bmrs were so great and mighty, why do you feel the need to justify how your 3 series are better than g35s. don't hate the player. Don't hate the G. Also, for your info, the Infiniti is majority owned by the French company Renault... so maybe you can like Infiniti more since you now know it's less of a "china mans car". In fact I really like that M3 forum is bashing us since we have little slower car because at the end they only embarass themselfs by comparing their M3's to much lower priced car.

This forums aspires to something better while bmr M3 people take a step down, spike their hair, put that pink Ralph Lauren polo on (how's that for stereotype) and compare themselfs to a much better overall bang for a buck.

 

You know, the majority of the BMW population in the US probably buy the cars just for their badges. I know a lot of people who dont know a damn thing about cars and like to prance around in their little 323's and 325's.

Forget about money for a second. You can compare G's and M3's. Sure it can be fun, just for discussion. Once in a while a modded G will take an M3. But when some ***** says "in the end your driving a Nissan and I'm driving a BMW", it just shows how self conscience they are about branding and that they did buy it just for the badge.

If I have a modded G and smoke an M3, I'd say the M3 got owned. He can say "I drive an M3 blah blah blah". But I'd say "What makes an M3 an M3? When parked next to my car, your car is just a $60000 323i."

I agree. I have a lot of fun blowing the doors off M3's with my little Chevy. You know, because that's all it is, just a Chevy.

 

My first post, so I'm sure I will get flamed, but this thread was started cause a member was upset that a Bimmer forum was trashing the G35, when all it ended up doing was giving us a reason to trash Bimmer's. I love them both, would probably own both. However, I fall into the category where I couldn't afford the M3, but could afford the G. I think everyone should be happy with their purchase, it's not a car everyone can just go out and buy, and in that sense, it's the same as an M3.
