Who has the Most HP or the Fastest N/A Coupe???

I am starting to get the itch for more power. For a while (coming from a Honda Prelude) the power/torque and RWD platform were more than enought to satisfy my "need for speed". But now that ive grown used to the G's performance and realized the potential of the car, id like MORE POWER!

So the search is for N/A horsepower. Id love to go the Turbo or SC route, but not while under warranty, daily driver, money isnt availbe like that..

So whos got a nasty N/A coupe? What parts do you have? What HP numbers you lookin at? What did u spend?

Thanks Fellas.

bolt ons just aren't going to do much, the motor has been massaged. You might get 10-20 WHP with boltons. Save and do the Vortech.

seems like 03/04's have better results with bolt-ons than the 05's. are there any mods that are worth it on the 05's?

Not sure about the 05's...i know they come with more power, so maybe extracting hp from them is trickier...

Only 10-20whp? Im not talking about doing a intake and exhaust here...im talking about the whole shebang!

- Intake
- Dual Exhaust
- Headers
- hi flow cats
- plenium
- grounding wires
- ECU reflash
- pullys
- flywheel
- etc etc etc

Only 10-20whp from all those? Man, i know counting hp is tough to do (i was told this is called "ricer-math") but damn, just estimating the power makes me think it could be a serious increase...esp in the "feel" of the car....maybe not huuuuuge dyno numbers...

Any thoughts on this? Anyone have all these parts?

I thinks with all the mods you has listed it would be 40-45rwhp increase. I have seen a couple of z pull of ~295 rwhp with those mods with cams I think.

i think rugratcoupe had a highly modded NA coupe...he was pushing around 268HP w/ all NA bolt on's....his list of mods included intake/stillen exhaust, hi flow cats, pulley, plenum...he also had a host of tranny parts, nismo pressure plate, nismo clutch etc etc....

Don't forget that stock Z's usually dyno 10-15rwhp more than stock g's. I would say a g with all those mods could get to 275-280rwhp....just not worth it in IMO. Anyway, with all those mods depending on your dealer they might void your warrenty anyways....might as well spend the money on a s/c or st.

An extra 40whp would be siiiick! I think i would be plenty happy with that! Yes, it will cost a few G's, but if youd go FI, your looking at a minimum of 5-6 G's, so its still way less.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...something to think about.

Any othe ideas, thoughts, stories, etc ? ? ?

Haha.

You could also bore the engine to a 4.3 litr and gain more power that way

Not sure, but wnt1bd just recently ran a 14.0 @ 101 with an 05 6MT with just an intake. ChazM dynoed 241 rwhp last weekend, bone stock 05 6MT. Those are numbers the majority of 03/04s can't reach even modified. How much better than that does it get with N/A mods only? I'll take power wherever I can get it, but I'm not too optimistic about the gains.

With all the mods listed above you are looking at spending at least $3500-$4000 between parts and labor.....stop drinking starbucks and eating wendy's for 4 months and you will come up with the other $2000 needed for FI faster than you think
