brake/hydraulic "squeal"

quick question... i've had a consistent brake squeal since mile 0. the consistent part is, it only happens after the brakes are hot and its at a very slow stop, like i've engine braked or coasted and put the brakes on to just stop rolling... i mentioned it to the service advisor a while back but was told to give it a couple of weeks. well, still there... was wondering if anyone else noticed this? 6mt w/18" & brembo's.

Yep, I have the same problem. Infiniti service is going to replace the pads with "another type" for the Brembo's. Still waiting for the parts to come in.

Not just the brembos, folks- same for me w/ 5AT & performance package- heard till they cooled off tonite. Pad material doesn't like the heat.

Yeah it sucks when you're rolling up to a traffic light, security gate, drive thru window, or any and every other time people have a real good chance to look at your car and the dam brakes squeal.

Re: brake/hydraulic "squeal"

I had and still have the exact same problem. I posted a similar question/concern awhile back, and received almost a unanimous response that this is occurring to everyone. You can check out the reponse to my question by sorting at the subject line and look for the posting "Brembo Brakes Squeek". I have 1400 miles and they still squeek occasionally. They did get a little better.

According to the service manager, every single G35 has this problem, because Infiniti decided to use very hard pads for G35 to have impressive braking distance. He said the feedback he received from Infiniti was that you can get a softer pad, but will wear the pads out in 5,000 miles (this can get costly)

Hope this helps.

My G coupe had the same problem. It stops after a couple of thousand miles. Try bedding the brakes. go to http://www.baer.com/Support/TechTips.aspx?TechTipID=5
