Orange peel is a below surface texture under the clear coat. It has nothing to do with the surface being smooth.

My surface is smooth as glass...

Like I said before most factory paint has some kind of orange peel. Its more noticeable on darker colors, especially when its high polished.





That first picture belongs on the Zaino website....that is an amazing job...how long did the process take, im going to order my zaino stuff this week...

plus the orange peel is a normal effect in the paint, when i first bought my car i asked the dealer about it and he said it was normal...

Yeah, but with factory paint jobs, you would have to sand almost 75% of your clear coat before you see results. Since the clear coat provides gloss and UV protection, this is not recommended.
