Unhappy Not at fault - Front got smashed over the weekend

I know there's already a few posts on here about accidents but just kinda wanted to vent and maybe get some specific advice...Long story short Saturday morning I was driving up to the store to pick up some wax (ironic eh?) for my ride when basically out of no where, some lady ran right into my driver side front end. Apparently didnt see me driving down the road. Ugh anyway she got ticketed, had to get her 2002 malibu towed....My G got smashed here's a pic (sorry low quality - camera phone)

Anyway it comes down to getting a new bumper, driver side panel, possibly hood and light fixture. Also, I got sprayed with her antifreeze all over my car (inside and out, I had window down) I need a new rim and tire as I'm SURE it's bent possibly the other side too cuz i got spun around. I have to get a new clear bra too. Should I try and just get a new paint job?

I'm 24, never been in an accident still kinda in awe about the whole thing. Is there any advice you could give me about how to get this all fixed? Her insurance said I could take to dealer, which i thought would be best idea since they can order correct parts. Her insurance State Farm gave me a rental too. I heard someone talk about diminished value too...Anything I'm forgetting? I imagine I need to make a claim on my insurance (allstate) just so they can help take care of things too...

Any have any advice??? Thanks

That really stinks, but finally someone with a weekend worse than mine (joking of course). This would be the worst possible thing that could happen, accident that isn't your fault. I hope everything works out, and they make your car right again.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I know first hand how stressful it can be getting things back together.

It looks like you've had some bad luck with this car with all the problems you've dealt with.

Anyway, the insurance company should pay to replace the parts that are damaged or broken.

If you have "waiver depreciation" on your policy they will pay the full amount. If your wheels are bent and need to be replaced, they will pay for the OEM wheel and you can use that money to buy your new wheels. So it might work out in your favor because the OEM is more expensive.

For the paint job...you should not get the whole thing repainted if the condition of the rest of the car is ok.

Wish you good luck and post some pics when you get it back together.

Chico

Yeah thanks for the time to post. I appreciate the feedback. I'm having a truck sent over now to go pick it up and off it goes to the infiniti dealership. You're not kidding about the luck with this car. Unbelieveable. One thing tho at least is that hopefully my vibration will be gone from my front end =)

I know I'm going to have to get a whole new wax job cuz i mean there's friggin antifreeze all over the right side, as well as the inside. Heck it even got on my clothes! They told me that they will work on getting it back to brand new condition (so that obviously includes any after market stuff, new clear bra, tire, rim etc. One good thing is my new PIAA Clearance lights managed to duck and not get hit. So that's good. I also asked about diminished value, and in ohio they dont do that apparently. I mentioned it tho at least so they know I'm pretty firm and serious about the whole thing.

One thing that kinda got me upset was that State Farm told me to take my rental back because I got it at an airport because they incur charges that State Farm won't pay. My cousin works there and hooked me up with a decent car for their price range ($22.99 a day) because again, "in ohio" they dont do comparable cars quality rental. But whattaya gonna do i guess. So on top of all this I have to take my rental and get another one...grrrrr. NOT having a good week............

Make sure you list everything on your car, specaily the aftermarket ones, and make their insurance company list everything out that need to be repaired, just so there wont be any confusions later on.

You dont have to goto dealer for repairs, just get the check for their insurance and spend it on whatever you want, like C/F hood, INGs +1 fenders, new rims...?

I would def. make them pay for new paint job, atleast ask for it and have them to pay any difference on your insurance premium later on, cus it might go up, even its not your fault.
