Which would u buy? 04 or 05 (if both new)? why?

i no we have many debates on which is better, which is faster..blah blah.

so now u have the choice again.. u are shopping for a car, both new.. which would u buy if both are similarly priced, optioned, and so on.

would u choose the 04 with the brembo, more torq, less hp, etc..

or would u rather have 05 with NO brembo, more HP, less torq, lil better interior and whatever else they have added (or subtracted)!

and please say why u choose what u choose! thanks man guys..

05 no doubt.
i dont really care about torque and hp since we have same motor but just dif parts on the motor.(adjustment)
now comes the biggest difference, the brembo. (i dont think it is big difference but anyways.)
IMO oem works fine with my car...so far and brembos on 04 cars are not very expensive, IMO.
for me, even tho i own AT 05, i'd choose 05 because of the new sports-tuned-suspension package

05 for sure

Here is a simple reason why, it might not be the biggest performance improvements but it makes life simple. Memory front seat, on the 05 and none in the 04.

I'd take the '05 because I like the 05 clutch way better. If the clutches were the same, I'd take the Brembos over the sport tuned suspension anyday, but here the interior changes come into play. The only 04 I'd consider though would be a fully loaded Twilight Blue/ Graphite 6MT, now that's hot.

I think people stress too much on the differences between both years. C'mon, it's the same car, looks the same, performs almost exactly the same. Those with an 03/04 were just lucky to have a G a year or two before the rest of us.

i am with finiti35
what can you do about it even if you want new 04 Gc...they dont make it anymore;
if you want NEW 04, get 05 and swap everything to make it look like 04

The 05's clutch is much lighter compared to 03-04 and the interior materials are much better. I would've liked the brembo brakes on the 05 but from what I've been reading, there are more problems with the brakes than the stock oem ones.

That's exactly what I bought in February. I like it, too.

05 brothar! The clutch on the 6MT is butter, gears change smoother, interior is a lot hotter, damn brembos are not there, but Ill get the red ones (2k a pair I think).

05 has automatic seats (Coupe) no more pulling a lever to adjust it... man 05 05 05 lol

'05 despite the missing brembos. For some reason after getting an '04 loaner and comparing interiors, these minor changes make a huge difference to me.

when you have to start replacing those pretty brembos your going to wish you had different ones. No comparison between '05 and '04, '05 is the way to go

Next thing you know 06 owners will say 06 is better than 04 and 05. After 03 I think all models are good. 03 is also not bad too.

honestly i like the volume/temp buttons on the 04 than the dials on the 05. i think the dials are out of place, sticking out like sore thumbs. more practical? maybe. i like the mp3, power reclines on the 05, but if they didnt have it, then for sure its an easy choice for me, 04 w/ brembos, plus, the rims are better looking imo.

I have a 04.5 IP with Graphite interior 6MT....this car is not made in the 05 line-up......I knew that and since I wanted that color combination that is why I purchased an 04. However, that is not necessarily what the poll is trying to determine so when I voted, I voted for getting the 05 in a head-to-head comparison between the two, all other considerations aside. The reasons are that it is a car that has improvements made to it (motor with exhaust valve timing, new pistons & lower plenum, light rims, new interior, etc) and this makes it my preference to buy when nothing else is taken into consideration.......but since it doesn't come in the color combination that I wanted, I am extremely happy with my decision to buy the 04.
