I feel like a car junkie

While I know I'm not nearly as bad as some of you, I didn't have a full grasp of what the insanity that owning a nice car does to you. I've had the car for 4 days now, and all I can think about is what to do next on the car. I've ordered:

Valentine 1 with remote display
Z-tube
K&N
Silverstar 9003ST for fogs/high beams
PIAA Xtreme Whites for the clearance strip and corners
clear corners
PIAA Xtreme Whites for the interior/door lights
Tinting and Venture Shield (clear bra) scheduled for Saturday
HeatShields windshield cover (from canvasworks)
Shock sensor to upgrade OEM alarm

Really the only expensive stuff is the valentine, tinting and venture shield, but now, I'm also looking at the mirror reverse tilt-down mod from J-garage. After this I think I'm gonna have to spend some serious cash to do any more, but I'm also a little paranoid about voiding my warrenty. I think the tab for all this crap is close to $1500 at this point, although the more stories I hear about people ordering turbo/supercharger kits before they get their car make me feel a little better. I think the best part about all of this is, I won't even know what the stock intake sounds like above 4000RPM, since I'll have the Z-tube in before the car is broken in.

Join the club. Read my sig. The pile of stuff behind me in my office is getting pretty sizeable... ...and the bumper and rear diffuser aren't even here yet!

Is the sunshield you are getting the kind where it is a padded foam sheet with 1 reflective side, and you roll up to store? I bought one but it is bulky and cumbersome to roll up and store. At a M45 release party, my dealership gave me one that you do one of those figure-8 type of folds to store it. It is thin and I put it in the pocket behind the passenger seat. It has the dealership logo on it, but I like it much better! (They tricked me into giving them free advertising! )

congrats on your new G... Everyone says they are going to mod the G in the beginning... But given the chance with some extra money... and it's over... buying parts here and there... Well that's what happened to me...

I've been pretty serious about getting as much of the stuff, that I want right now, as possible before vehicle delivery. Looks like the car might get here before the bumper and diffuser.

I guess it's time to start determining what front/rear offsets to use for some 19" Volk CE289(s) in 9"F/10"R. rolleyes

You call that modding?

You're an extreme rookie.

thanks guys. the sunshield I'm getting is from www.canvasworks.com they have almost every car's winshield in their system and custom cut the sunshield to fit your car. Someone on this forum acutally mentioned it sometime which is how I heard about it. We'll see how good it is. It shipped out today, so I should have it in hand pretty soon.

canvasworks is right down the street from where I work! it is the type I was thinking about. They work well and fit well, but they're too bulky

I'd try that, but I dont want my bolts and screws and etc. getting lose due to the base and having my G rattle. Besides, spending 5k on a car doesnt mean you love her, spending 15 hours washing does
