Shift buzzer?

Has anyone with an '05 tried wiring a shift buzzer to work with the shift light? Something like the "Bing" of the RX-7s. There's no way I can catch the OEM shift light in my peripheral vision during competition and I refuse to mount an ugly aftermarket shift light. I'm horrible with anything electrical so a response might have to be dumbed down a tad for me.

Hey Balzz, maybe we could wire the seat to buzz ya! A little electrical shock to make you do something. Seriously with all the microelectronics in the cars these days, who knows what the added circuitry might do to the main boards. I have neither in my 03. I usually try to eye the tach and listen to engine revs to try and hit the proper point. About 1 in 10 I hit the limiter.

Looks like I'll either have to learn it with more seat time, or buy an RX-7 to get the shift buzzer.
