I beleive from what I've read and personal experience the only thing that needs to be broken in properly is the engine not 100% on the mileage but I've read not to go above 4000rpm for I think the first 1500 miles you'd have to do search it should say in the manual.

Hmmmm . . . You will get different opinions on the break-in routine. I personally just finished breaking my G, as per the factory recommendations. Keep your revs below 4k and vary your speed, etc. for the first 1200 miles. It's in the owner's manual.

Just drive it normally. That's all. no clutch dumps, no over slips. Just drive normally.

Yea thats standard. But why would you even want to deal with problems EVEN if your within warranty? What happens when you're out of warranty?...You still have a history of problems...some which are bound to repeat or lead to more problems down the line when your out of warranty. But to each his own.

Guys I'm only kidding. Yes I do drive my car hard, but I don't beat on it. There's a big difference.

I agree...drive it like you stole it...and yes I am serious....and yes I have read all the opinions for and against break in....and yes I know they redline it at the factory...and yes I know that the manual says break it in...and yes I know why the manual says break it in....and yes I know about modern manufacturing processes and tolerance and compression and ring seals and blow by....and knowing all of this....my advice is

Drive it like you stole it.

P.S. Do a search and you will find numerous posts on this topic. People like me...and people like your momma who says don't swim until an hour after eating....which is another legend with no scientific fact.

You try it...try eating ALOT, then swim...and by swim I don't mean jump in the pool and chill...I mean swim.

break-in is not only engine you know ? it's also about transmission may be they do redline the engine before they put in the car. but you suspension transmission brake isnt break-in yet.
if drive like you stole it may be wont hurt your engine but other things .... and also you have to think why up til now all the manual still tells you take easy for first 2000miles it's for a reason
