Thought other G owners were friendly.
Coming home on I-80 and spotted a nice black G35 with I guess ADR rims as he had a hugh sticker saying ADR on the back quarter panel, well as I was going faster than him I thought I would give him the nod as I went by. Well I pulled up next to him and looked across and he just ignored me, well I thought nothing of it and carried on going, this is where it got wierd as I must have been about 4 car lengths ahead and he speeds up and tries to pass me as if I was not even there, well I thought I would let him listen to my bov and let him know I was sc, pob. left him about 6 cars behind and slowed back down. He follwed behind and then did the cheap fly by thinking he was the s*#t, I let him go making him feel like a winner and carried on my way home.
I never thought that another G owner would be so competitive against a fellow owner, I see vette owners and every biker give the wave to each other as they go by but no not a fellow G'er.
I will keep my hands on the wheel and my eyes focused on the road next time.

Funny you should mention Vettes. I test drove one the other day and in the short 15 min during which I had the car I had another Vette driver 3 lanes across honk at me. I didn't even realize for a second why he did it. I've never had anything like that happen in the 4.5 months I've had my G35. When I see another G, I try to get closer and wave, but people won't even look over.

I just want to say that most of the drivers I see are older and don't necc. want to wave or nod but this guy was like mid 20's, I would have expected him to be a bit more friendly.
I get more people wave at me when I drive my 3000gt, and half are not even owners themselves...lol.
Todays society has made people so scared to even look across at other drivers that people just become self absorbed into getting from A to B.

You ever consider the possibility that he just wanted to have a friendly jaunt and that he possibly didn't look over at you at that instant because he was focusing on the road ahead?
I know that sometimes when I run into other G35s on the road they sometimes do a quick flyby. I don't take offense at all, and sometimes enjoy the show.
I would imagine that most of the time its with good intentions.

the thing is Gs are so common that most people that buy them aren't enthusiasts and there's more chances that those people aren't friendly... I've only gotten the nod or wave back a couple times... FX owners seem to be more friendly... I even got a girl in an FX start talking to me at a light lol... I always try to make eye contact with other G owners at least... but for the most part they ignore everyone else lol...

So now I stopped trying.
