Hey guys, I was a little shocked at the quote i received for my 15k mile service on my 5at coupe at Lynnes Infiniti in Bloomfield NJ. I was curious as to how much some of you other owners have paid in the past for your service?

I was told they change all filters, fluids, tighten belts, balance / rotate tires ( N/A for coupes) , etc.

I still dont see why it will cost 420 dollars??? thats just nuts.

thanks in advance

each dearlership seems to have different pricing =) Ask around at different places if you can. That seems very high to me.

I did mine in so-cal and it ranges from $220-$320. I called up 4 different Infiniti dealerships. I just went with the lowest one since they supposedly do the same services.

Hey dj, how do you like Lynnes Services? I bought my car and had an oil change done there. The SA (David D.) was a cool guy, but their parking lot and service bay area scares/worries the crap out of me. What has your experience been so far? TIA.

Overall Lynnes is decent I have not been to any other dealers as a comparison, But their prices, obviously from the first post, are ridiculous! The parking lot scares the crap out of me as well. Also DO NOT let them wash your car if you get servic done there. They do not use soap, they just hose the car and wipe down the car = SWIRL MARKS! Other than that they ok. I want to check this Douglas Infiniti dealer out for this 15k maintenance. Ill keep ya posted.

Ok guys, i just got off the phone with Lynnes infiniti to kinda find out Why its 420 bucks. They as usual skated around the answer. Basically they need to clean the fuel injection system and clean the throttle bodybla bla bla. . . i kinda tuned out from there.

I was looking on INFINITIHELP.com under the maintenance schedule and according to that all that needs to be replaced is the OIL and OIL FILTER and the AIR FILTERS ( in cabin and engine ). Do i really need all the extra crap they trying to make me pay 420 dollars for?

I got a re-quote from Lynnes for just the oil ( synthethic) and air ( incabin and engine filters) services for 180 bucks. Which i think is reasonable. what do you guys think?

thanks in advance

I've been told by Infiniti service guys themselves that you DO NOT need all that at 15k! Sheesh some service depts are just sleezy. Just like Jiffy Lube when my wife takes her car. EVERYTIME she spends almost $100.

^^^exactly, the only thing they should do other than an oil change is the in-cabin microfilter, and refill of fluids. So $420 is WAY TOO MUCH!!!

I have 22K on mine and never bothered doing anything other than changing the oil on it. The way I see it, it's just a one big conspiracy to rip you off. There is a 6 yr/100K warranty on the drive train. If something happens to it they'll replace it whether they like it or not. Otherwise they can all lick my butt crack!
Before the G, I used to own a 2000 Maxima - drove that thing for 60K and nothing ever happened to it. I don't want to even think of all the money I saved...
