Selling my G...What to get, what to get?

Hey guys,

I am selling my black biatch..She has just caused me too many problems (seat, front tire wear etc) and I have had enough and want to get rid of it.

I am looking for a car for about $40,000 CAN with 20-35,000 kms. So really..For me its either the Wrx STI or a 330 coupe.. Anyone?......I mean, I know the G is a nice car than either of the two above..But I have just had too many issues, and its not practical..

as usual. this crap board flows with garbage responses. I didn’t ask for your sympathy or a snarky comment. Just for a damn opinion and that seems hard to get these days..I mean, once you sift through the 80% of the board who knows NOTHING about cars except for the fact that their G35 has 18" wheels and 280 hp and the other 10% who make stupid comments?

Ah well..Any reasonable people on this board that have something to say?

The good thing about the STI is the all wheel..It snows here for about 5 months of the year..And I like the idea of beingable to rip circles around most drivers in the snow..

and whats your point for making this thread? since its so obvious that we dont know what we are talking about, so why even bother asking us for our "opinion"?

Try another car forum buddy.

NOT A G35 OWNER FORUM
I have had real problems with cars, not the BS you are talking about.

Can you tell us first what you're looking for in a car? STI and 330 are two totally different cars. How is the 330 more practical than a G35? Still a RWD 2-door. I don't know how much 40k CAN is, but if you want practical get something like a TL, Maxima, or G35x. The first 2 you can find with 6 speed. Hard to say if you don't give us any pointers.

I think the STI would be one of the least practical cars...

Ok, reality check....The little annoying things of the G pissed me off a lot and I quite obsessed over it to the point of wanting to sell it myself...until I sat down and analyzed thing. NO CAR WILL BE PERFECT! If you research the WRX Sti you'll find out its a bucket of bolts, and I've talked to owners who have complained with brake problems, tranny problems, rattling, etc....
As far as the 330 goes, its a beautiful car, and quite pricy. BMW's might be better engineered for performance and build materials, however, they are prone to breaking down as well...but you are covered under warranty. But I have done a little bit of research and I'm finding out if you MOD the BMW just a tiny bit, they void your warranties and tell you to go to hell. But if your not planning on modding your car then it shouldn't be a problem, other than the price tag. If you want a new car, granted, thats completely up to you and is your business. But if the little "annoyances" of the G is what is turning you off about the car, just keep in mind, every car is going to have some little problems here and there. Just do your homework for a couple of months, and make an informed decision.

Goodluck!

Get a E46 M3, NSX or Porsche. I think you will be happy with those. The M3 would probably be on your higher list since it has a very good rear seats.

If you want speed but lose interior and ride, then go for EVO MR or STi
