Y-Pipe worth it?
Y-Pipe worth it?
Is an aftermarket y-pipe worth the money if (for the foreseeable future) i plan on keeping the stock exhaust?
which ones are direct bolt on replacements? (ie no modifying or extensions etc required)
Also there is a lot a price variances between them, for instance stillen in 260 but nismo is 560... then there are Jic, fujitsubo utr and so on in between.. has there been any testing to see which ones are actually best (preferable with the rest of the exhaust being stock)
was looking at the fujitsubo initially... good choice?
and yes i tried a search, but most threads i found weren't very helpful

It seems for the most part that a y-pipe is a y-pipe is a -ypipe around here concerning the choices and that the higher priced ones are just selling their name. Most all of them are 2.5 inch inlets and 3 inch outlets. All of them will be a direct bolt on in place of the factory piece. Fujitsubo, GruppeS, Unlimited Tuning and JIC seem to be the most common ones on the board.

There is one out there that I hear reduces the issue with the flow from the wider y-pipe to the smaller exhast outlet because the outlet is made smaller to smoothly transfer air into the exhaust area. I think that it is th eUT pipe but I can't remember.
