6 speeds now super rare to buy?
I got my 05 AUTO from fields infiniti for 650 above invoice
Infiniti of Lisle was going to do 500 above invoice.
Fields told me he doesnt go anywhere neer invoice on the 6mt's because they sell so fast.

me too
Also looked for 6mt in Chi Town. So considering wait for 06...but price increase
and is aero package REQUIRED when you get Premium package on the 06? Really prefer w/o the aero package (reserve right to change mind until actually seeing something). When will dealers know the options/packages?
I don't believe Infiniti will repeat the past mistake of late delivery date of 06mt and maybe increase mt/auto mix.
PS. Noticed one dealer in GA with 20 manuals.

No, actually Lisle would only give me $250 off. I actually went through Fields Infiniti-so if you are interested I'm sure the Lisle DG is still available for reservation

$1200 under MSRP or about 2k over invoice---No other dealer I had contact with in Illinois would even come close to that-everyone else wanted MSRP or at most $500 off MSRP. sorry for the confusion
yea they are really bad in IL with the 6mt they wont discount them hardly.
I use my G in daily driving so Im glad I just went with the Auto.
I wanted my G the day I went to buy it and I got it.

ahhh got the same response from the lisle with the DG 6mt fully loaded. they would only take off $250 from MSRP!! they keep on emphasizing that the "6mt are a premium in our lineup of cars"....what to do now....wait for the 06 w/ the chance of price increase or juss get something....

ha i guess i am in the same shoes as you are. if it does come around nov. it is not much of a wait but that is when chicago's winter slowly starts! then i might as well wait till next year when the winter is over! i dunno this is such a bummer...
If they are barely budging for 05's what makes you think the 06 will have a discount?
For those with deposits on 06s...watch out for the "these are selling hot now, so we have to sell it for sticker; lets re-negotiate" ploy as the cars ACTUALLY start to seep into ports...
Oh and they also play games. For example, if a buyer is willing to pay MSRP for "your" "reserved" car, they will tell you that there is a "delay at port" until you get sick of them holding your money. Or they will even tell you "it got sold by another sales guy before I could get to it" bullshlt. Watch out, mark my words ALL THIS WILL HAPPEN!
They take your refunadable deposit now because nothing is official, no papers have been signed. They are only as good as thier word, and we all know how good a dealers word is
...
It happened in 05 and I guarantee it will happen in 06...that deposit yall put down now just buys you negotiation time later, not a car, since nothing is reserved unless you have signed a paper and HAVE a VIN...(which even in 05 people still lost "thier" car to another person after obtaining a VIN.)
Go VPP hunting now if you want to save...and pray they will honor it.
