I'm just basing those dates on last year's G35 timeline. I was hot to buy an '04 last summer. I was hoping the 05s would get climate and stereo dials and other little things. Turned out I was SO MUCH better off waiting for the next model year. You'll have 4WS (is it HICAS still?) as an option, Bluetooth, Intelligent key, not to mention redesigned exterior lighting. I'd wait!
I agree, based on my experience getting the car last year. I went to the dealer the first week of September looking to buy a new 2004 model and ended up leaving the dealer thinking that by October 15th the new 2005 model would be in and I'll get one of those. I clearly remember that even on the infinitinews.com website that was the date they had originally planned. I ended up getting my car Thanksgiving weekend after going through hell to find one that suited my desires.

This is my 2 cents for all the people who really believe the dealer, fleetmanager, or website, its a bunch a bull. Good luck on getting it the days they say the 06's will be in, but I'll put my money on it that you will have it around Thanksgiving, like me.

Take a flight to philly < $150 bucks and spend the 7 hours driving your new toy. They can't give the 6 speeds away here. I paid 34896 for a loaded auto (business insurance thing) and they told me that the 6 speeds could have done a little better on the price. Can't drive a stick if its a company car.

Hooman,

I'd be really interested to see if you go through with the deal...even if you have it in writing...(but in writing, I meant a signature, not email convos cause they still back out of those).

Also realize Hooman that these dealers are very "chill" now because they don't have the cars yet!!!! They are trying to set the hook now, then deal with things later. If they told you NO now, would you come back? Probably not. You'd be going to another dealer when the time comes around and the cars get here. THEY DON"T WANT THAT. They want you to visit them, so they say anything now, but goodluck anyways.

I had 3 SoCal dealers tell me they would honor my VPP for an 05 6MT BEFORE they came out. This VPP was given to me by a NNA Distribution Manager (the guy who chooses what dealer gets how many Infiniti/Nissan cars for God's sake!!!!)

Guess what happened....yea I don't think I have to tell you. Lets just leave it at one acryonym..."MSRP"

But Goodluck and keep us posted.

Where in the Philly area do you recommend? West Chester, Ardmore, Allentown, Wilmington, etc? I'd be curious to see who deals the most on the 05 6MT's. My shopping will begin as soon as I sell my car.

It appears that Infiniti is playing the same game with their 6 speeds that Porsche does with their 911s. When dealer inventory starts to build up, Porsche cuts down on the number of 911s they build. Actually this practice is good for both the company and those who presently own the car.

Just got a buyer's order via fax from the sales manager, listing the agreed upon price and packages/description for "my" 05 6speed to come in early Sep., and a receipt of 1k deposit. Vin number will be faxed over sometime later on this afternoon to me. How likely is it that the dealership could back out?

This late in the year...there probably isnt any chance of backing out since sales are slowing down.
