I got my tint for the first time and I love it. So much cooler inside my car and more privacy. I wish I gotten it at a better place but can't be too picky. Don't get titaniums cuz it looks so nappy. By the way, 225 is a rip off.

Tint it! Sungard is good, but I recommend "Diamond films" you can get a scratch warranty for like 30 dollars more. And it has a lifetime warranty. I would get a 35% tint with the charcoal Diamond films. Just got mine done and its beautiful, girls flock over from all directions.

Got my car done with Llumar ATR Charcoal 20%. Llumar has several different types of films.. the AT series is Dyed film. The ATR series is Dyed/Metallized and gives the tint a bit of reflectivity. I have no problems with radio reception plus I rarely listen to it anyways (except when my gf is in the car). I would recommend tints for your car, but since you're leasing it, think about whether or not it's worth it. Removing them will be pain in the neck if the film has good quality adhesive.

Please take it from me as a lesson learned (Llumar was the 2nd tint film used on my car) and do not get cheap film. I had MoonRaker metallized film on my car before the Llumar tint and I got ripped off (paid $250). Llumar cost me $150. However I do believe that the tinter who used MoonRaker did an excellent job on the dot matrix. The Llumar film does not like to stick well to the dot matrix so if you are **** about the tint sticking to the dot matrix like I am, make sure you ask your tinter if he/she can make the tint STICK to the DOT MATRIX without sanding, using glue or vinyl.

http://www.tintcenter.com <-- this site gives you a lot of information about the popular brand of window film in the industry.

You should definitely do some research on this site as well as these forums before getting your tints done. Trust me it'll save you money in the long run!!

What does everyone do about the DOT MATRIX? I didn't like how the tint turned gray where the matrix was and I had them remove the tint from that area. I was thinking about using black spray paint over the dots. Can I remove them with a razor blade and then tint/viny that area?

I have 20% on sides and rear and 50% on doors. Here in Louisiana you can't get an inspection sticker with more than 50% and cops write tix for darker tint on doors.

If you have any kind of radar detector, the tint will hurt your performance and ability to pick out a cop from behind you. One of the main reasons I never got tint.

Is 25% on the rear window too dark to see behind you while backing up at night??

I am in SoCal and I have always had tint on my cars but I left my G naked...because I just dont want to deal with the cops...they can be real dicks here. Besides in CA we cant tint our front side windows..atleast not legally. I would just hate to tint them and then get a ticket and have to have it removed...I just dont want my G to go throught that abuse

What tint shop did you use? I live in Chester County and have been searching for a GOOD tint shop for about a year...
