So i pulled my CEL code
So i pulled my CEL code
So i went to autozone and pulled the codes from my car.
The scanner said 1 of 2 was p2135. Throttle position sensor A/B voltage correlation. It doesnt sound like a big deal. Then when i pressed down it read 2 of 2, but the code didn't change at all.
Anybody have any idea about this? And why it said there were two codes but when i went to code 2 of 2 nothing changed?
Thanks in advance!

In my experiance all engine codes come in 2s. Everytime I have had an SES I had two of each code.
The accelerator pedal sends two different voltages to the ECU, most likely for the ECU to verify that the signal is correct, and in case one signal quits working. I would have it checked out by the dealer.

Ahh.. thanks for the explanation on the two codes.. i thought maybe there was a problem with the scanner.
Nope, nothing. My girlfriend was driving the car when it happened and she had stalled it (i know i know). She said when she started the car up again the VCD light came on and she didnt' know what to do. So she turned it off and started it up again and then the VCD light went off. I'm guessing that when the VCD light was on the car was in the limp mode that i have heard people talk about..
But i think when she turned the car off and back on it somehow fixed itself but the code just did not clear since when i drove it it didn't seem like it was in limp mode.
I hope that's the case and it was just a hiccup.

Where is the plug located to read the codes? I tried looking for it when my CEL was on, but I couldn't find it.

According to OBDII standards the plug must be withing 36" of the drivers seat (or something like that). The plug is right under the drivers side dash, its black, and looks like this:

i had the same problem, throttle position sensor, a couple of months back. they had to replace it, but i had to wait, it had to be ordered. but meantime, they reset my SES light and said everything should be fine and i could drive the car while waiting for the part to come in.

No, I considered clearing the codes then i thought i best just let the dealer look at it today with the codes there.
I'm still waiting for their call so I hope all is well.

Being an auto zone employee I check ppls lights 12 times a day. I ususally dont see that many cars that have 2 codes. Its either 1 code or 4+. When I get to work tomorrow Ill put the code in the computer and print out the paragraph explaination that it tells me. The scanner itself doesnt get into much detail about the code, but our computers inside do. Ill update this when I get out of work tomorrow.
