i agree body shop is trying to walk all over you... if you don't like the work they did i think you should not pay a cent. tell them they either have to fix it to meet your standard or you will not pay for the work... we have alot of people here with fiberglass kit with show quality work. don't believe what they say... make it clear you take this seriously and will do everything you can to make it happen. Do not let them get away with this.... good luck

You know that any average body man cant put a body kit on right? Putting a body kit on is, i think, considerd an art. Its very dificult and if you dont get the right people to do it then they will do a poor job. There definatly should not be any bubbles in the paint. I think you should call your lawyer and ask his opinion on what you should do.

Totally agree! I spent quite a bit more on my car to have a great body shop do the work. Keep in mind that it is nearly impossible to exactly match the paint on our cars. If you take your car to a great body shop, they will be able to get very close, but not an exact match. When I had my TS bumper painted and installed, I had them paint the hood and front fenders as well. The paint looks like the stock paint.

Sorry bro! Good luck on getting everything worked out.

thank you all for your input... my next question is ... if the shop's ability to trim and fit the body kit is limited ... in another words... if they say that that is the best they can do... if than, what do I do? and please elaborate on the paying by the credit card and cheque and putting a stop to the payment. If I give them a cheque and put a stop to it, it this not illegal? and if I do ... do I call the bank and just tell them to npt tp process the cheque? I am sorry to have asked so many questions... but again, I am in need of desparate help... and again, I cannot express how much I am grateful for all your help...

take it to a small claims court. document everyting like phone conversations, new shop's detailed work so you can eventually show the judge. i had a similar problem long ago when a car shop replaced a timing belt and they did it so poorly that it was off. i brought them to a small claims court and i won. good luck.

holy **** dude. You shouldn't even have to goto small claims. If you ask them to do a job and they dont do it correctly, the body shop should always correct the problem regardless if its minor or major. If you havn't paid them yet, tell them that you are taking the car and you are not going to pay them until they agree to fix everything that you demand. I really am shocked to hear that they refused to fix it. I have the same kit as you, prepped an primed properly there should be no such issues. thats truly unbelievable, wish you the best!

I know in city of industry there is a bodyshop called 2020 auto tech. They did great jobs for bodywork (authorized bodyshop for state farm) and a lot of people mod their cars there.

I want to get the kenstyle bodykit and when i do, that will be the shop i am going to.
