Most amazing thing i have ever seen

I have an 04 AT g35...I have an injen intake and I love my car....sometimes i like playing around with certain cars when at the light but just last night I had a bad feeling about what was going to happen. I was driving home late from my girlfriends house...if you are fimiliar with new port richey florida then you will have a good understanding of where i was.....I was crusing along on US-19 north. when an wrx sti comes speeding up aside of me....I no better not to mess with these unless you have some work done....doesnt help i have an automatic. I turn onto 54 and and then to trouble creek which is two laned. at this point he was behind me going on and off his gas..alongside of me was another car...dont remeber what it was...but anyhow i speed up because he was being a major ****..thats when it happened...im assuming when i speed up that he thought i wanted to race...he downshifted "heard the blowoff" and then flew around me while we were in the middle of an S turn. speed limit was 30 and i was doing about 45...he had to be doing 70.. next thing i know his rear end got loose "on an awd drive car too" scary to think..it looked like he regained control but the car whipped back and nailed the curb and he spun in a circle with the front drivers side nailing a wall about 40 ft from someones house. the car then rolled in 50 to 100 ft into the woods. the family came running out of the house. i stopped and called the police and went to see if i could pull him out or if he was even alive. i manged to pull the seat belt from around his neck and luckly the fire dep. was only about 5 min away...they came and used the jaws of life to get him out...i havent heard if the kid managed to live or not but this has thought me a valuable lesson in life....not to be stupid and race....im only 18 and i have my whole life ahead of me.... im sorry for blabbing on but this was def something i will never forget.....

No, actually that's NOT funny. Imagine if that was your cousin/nephew/brother/etc...

There's a reason why the younger you are, the higher your insurance rate. This sounds like a kid being a stupid kid with a powerful car. I hope he's ok and learns from this.

CrazyCoupe, I'm very glad you said what you said about having your life ahead of you and learning not to do stupid things like that. Just keep that in mind the next time you get "the itch".

Just my 2-cents...

Damn, thats some story man!

Let this be a lesson to all of us. If you are going to race: take it to the track, or atleast an interstate highway or something.

just kidding

Maybe that was harsh of him to say... ...but it's not far from the truth. The guy was all over the *** of someone who clearly wasn't looking to race and when the car tried to increase the space between the two (pretty natural response), the guy takes it as a cue to swing around him in a turn, without regard to traffic or anything other than his own ego. He could of taken out CrazyG as well. And the comment wasn't made to the guy's mom.

You know, just because you lose a loved one doesn't mean that you can't recognize when their death was due to their own dumb actions. The fella that died from a perforated colon while taking it up the *** from a horse... ...his family seemed to be able to take it for what it was.

Something very similar happened to me once. I was in my Maxima I used to have and was beside a guy in a Prelude. Gave it some gas to get around him and he freaked and nailed it. Then I slowed because I knew a curve was coming but he kept on it and spun out, flipped the median, and ended up in the lanes going the other way. Luckily for him it was late at night and there was no other traffic. I stopped when I saw him spinning and he got pissed and tried to come after me in his beat-up car. I floored it into a neighborhood and took some quick turns and never saw him again. Some people will do ANYTHING for a "win".

Sometimes I honestly believe these bull**** stories are made up. In my 33 years of life I have yet to see a car accident happen in front of me. Not saying it couldn't happend, but you see a post like this every other day. Seems like people just like to make chit up so they can post something.

I know what you mean and a month ago I would have totally agreed. Until this guy with an 05 G coupe who used to come to Towers every Friday crashed right in front of my friend's M3 while trying to race on i595. It happened right after Towers, I was at the meet and saw his G, an hour later my buddy sent me a message about what happened in front of his eyes. Unreal. And yeah he did make a post about it.

Well I don't mean to call out the original post, but you understand what I mean. You see a thread like this once or twice a day.

With all the dumb***es on the road, you're probably being a little optimistic.

Calm down sparky. This stuff doesn't haven't everyday, but by the number of similar posts you see on this site you would swear it does happen everyday.
