I am in the market for a G35c and I am wondering what you guys think. I have a fast car already (an Evo) so I'm not in a hurry to buy. Should I wait for the 06 with the better headlights, tails, and aw steering or should I go ahead and get an 05? There is a dealer near me that has 15 6MT's with all different options to pick from.

 

i say get a 2k5 since they are starting to get cheaper, youd get a good price on it. if you want to wait for the 06, you might as well just wait till the 07 reskinned version. otherwise get it now and enjoy as early as possible.

 

2005 are gettin awesome deals..like fully loaded 6mt for 100$ over invoice is the best i got. but again, if money is not an issue, why not get the newest thing~

i would have waited, but not a big fan of the changes (tails, spoilers) thus 2005 is for me.
just my opinion.

 

personally, i think the subtle changes to the 06 body make it less appealing than the 05...the tech on the other hand in the 06 is obviously better than the 05.

IS BLUETOOTH and MEMORY SEATS worth the $$ you'd save buying an 05 off a dealer who is looking to move it?

 

i was gonna say go with 06 cause of bluetooth, but i heard that the bluetooth in the new M's are horrible, very bad sound quality, and im sure it will be similar in the G35's...

and i hate the new spoiler! and the reverse light! and the front bumper...

05 is it!

intellikey is nice tho, IF yur gettin a 5at... which i hope yur not! 6mt is the only way to go with a G35c, even if u do traffic everyday. i live in oc and commute every day and still love my 6mt!

 

I'm actually waiting for the 06 myself. I like the new changes in the 06 as iKey, rear tail light, projector headlight, bluetooth (not care much about), and the front bumper and side sills.

The 05 is nice and for the price i could get for it is very tempting. However, i could not see newly purchase 05 becomes old in 3 months when the 06 runs around.

That's just me so if you can't wait and want the car now for a good price, go ahead. Either 05 or 06 is great!

Why?
Bluetooth.. unless you really use it its not worth it, I dont really need my passengers to hear my conversations + you probably have a small headset if u have bluetooth (plus there are aftermarket bluetooth kits)

Projector headlight, yeah its a projector but IMO it ruins the look cause the fogs no longer a round circle.. I say retro fit 4 BMW projectors on the 05 headlight.

06 taillights are UGLY.. who the hell would want a square reverse light when everything on the car is round?!

ONLY reason I would see why u'd want an 06 is for the keyless and memory seats. i'm sure u an swap 06 parts for 05 tho.. but for the money ur saving u can get alot more.

 

No one commented on the all-wheel steering. Does anyone have information on this?

 

I'd get the '06 strictly on the fact that it has memory seats and intellikey. Design wise I like the '05.
