Angry sunroof not functioning properly

what next...
my sunroof isn't functioning properly, all of a sudden.
here are the symptoms:
tilt button when closed does not work at all.
when i press the button for the sunroof to go back it tilts down like it wants to then returns back to the same sealed position.
only when i hold it back and stop it at the tilt position, can i then push it again to receed back into the car. and when opened, closing it works until about 2 inches from the sealed position. i then have to press again to full close.
what gives? anybody have this problem or know what i can do to fix it. dont mind getting my hands dirty since i'm out of warranty.
thx in advance.

I had this same problem. If you look in your owners manual it tells you how to reset the sun roof. Do not read anything into the instructions follow it as writen. It took me a few times to get it right but it will work.
